Dark Souls remastered
« on: January 11, 2018, 11:01:22 am »
Lol demastered for Switch. I'm actually kind of excited because I bought Dark Souls and barely played it because the PC port was such ass.

Xbox One (1080p, 60 fps)
PlayStation 4 (1080p, 60 fps)
Xbox One X (Upscaled 4K, 60 fps)
PlayStation 4 Pro (Upscaled 4K, 60 fps)
PC (Native 4K, all textures 2K unconverted, 60 fps)
Nintendo Switch (TV mode: 1080p, 30 fps; Handheld mode: 720p 30 fps)

Everything that runs at 30fps feels like it's from 1996 :[

I was planning to get the Prepare to Die Edition for PS3 at some point. I guess I'm buying this instead since it includes the Artorias of the Abyss DLC as well

I only played a bit of Dark Souls when my friend let me try it out. The combat just feels so clunky.

I much prefer how Bloodborne looks/feels in terms of gameplay.

Not really that excited for these as personally they aren't games I really ever want to replay lol. That high of accomplishment after all the pain is only really ever felt the first time.
However, Switch getting some great ports/remastered.
