Far from terrible, we were amazing. But football is a cruel game, a close loss hurts more than a 3-0 sometimes and in a WC where you only play 3 times, it sucks to not get something out of a game we played so well in. The means of the loss just adding to the pain, incredibly unlucky. Should hopefully get us fired up for Denmark though!

Since when did they add the goal line tech and instant replay stuff? Good that they added it, but would of been a very different result if not.

First World Cup for both. The goal line tech went live in club football a couple seasons ago if I remember right but the VAR (replay stuff) is only being used in the A League and a couple other leagues.
The goal line tech is great however I hate the VAR.

Early on just about getting the job done, play yourselves into form for later. Given how many big teams didn't win their first game I say be content with the 3 points. England beating Tunisia clears the group up too. Both of your and England can afford a loss to each other if you just beat the other team, which you should.

Why do you hate VAR? slows the game down too much? Part of me feels with less drama like disallowed goals and penalties it takes a lot of talking points away from the game. There is something oddly special about trusting a ref with all the decisions at that exact moment. What do you think?
