How NBA 2K games flow and play
« on: January 16, 2019, 01:46:18 am »
We got our hands on the dev edition of the upcoming NBA 2K19 with 2K19 MT. The game is looking very promising with a number of adjustments that are certain to please many hardcore fans. Here is everything you need to learn about this new basketball title.

So, a couple of days ago, we were invited to an NBA 2K19 convention where we had the chance to play the alpha version of the game. We also spoke to the devs who replied loads of their questions about the upcoming basketball name, and we wish to discuss a few things we learned with you guys. So instead of just conveying information which other people have stated in interviews and so on, this moment, we will be giving you our own real thoughts as we've played ourselves.

Now the very first thing we all noticed, the minute we picked up that controller, is that the match is buttery smooth. It truly has a terrific pace to it. 2K really did a fantastic job of producing another amazing basketball simulatorgame, and we can safely say it is a massive step-up in contrast to the previous editions of this sport. It just feels right.

Turnovers are far more likely to happen today, since defence will finally play a significant role in a 2K game. As much as we like how NBA 2K games flow and play, we might never get fully immersed into it since defence was pretty much non-existent.

This was largely due to this game's poor physics and animation system with gamers sifting through each other and a hell of a great deal of animation clipping. To some folks, this might be a minor thing, but to us, it's almost a deal-breaker in regards to immersion. And now NBA 2K is, of course, a sports match, therefore immersion is of crucial importance. But we're happy to report that this difficulty will almost completely be eradicated with the newest sport, all thanks to the improved physics and player movement.

Like we said, we played an unfinished version of the sport - sort of like an early build, and we tried out the exhibition game mode, or, Play Today - as it is known in 2K, and the next thing we would like to speak about will be the graphics, more especially, the match's colour palette. A whole lot of people argued that NBA 2K19's colors looked washed out and downright cartoony. Unfortunately, we thought so too. Although there was a slew of details to be valued, the overall appearance of the game did not give off a realistic sense.

However, we liked what we saw at 2K19. The colours don't pop out like it was an anime game, as was the case with 2K18. Even though it's still not exactly the very same graphics style like the one used in 2K14, it's still a phenomenal looking match, and a definitive improvement over the previous season's version. The light and the courtroom looked great in 4K HDR, and the muscle definition of players is ultimately back. No more lanky, Slenderman searching players. DeMarcus Cousins is finally a major dude again, and Kawhi Leonard is as ripped as is.

So yeah, MT NBA 2K19 feels and looks excellent. Again, we got our hands on a restricted preview but these were some things that we can affirm have been changed and improved, so there's a great deal to look forward to in the new sport. NBA Live is also looking very promising with its debut of feminine ballers, but will it be good enough to dethrone 2K?
